Fort Dennison was originally built as a welcoming cannon for the Dutch as their boats entered the harbour, but the Dutch decided to Indian the welcome so the cannons have not yet been fired. Apparently, a Dutch company made the cannon and didn't want to honor the warranty for a misfire. So they are still waiting to test the cannon's accuracy to this day.

This is a short 5 minute drive out of the Sydney airport. Malhen pointed it out to me. Along the same street are various small mom & pop outfits selling imported items from China, India, Europe and Asia. Across the street and to the right of Hollywood Bridal, the sidewalk widens to provide sitting areas for open air cafes.
