Fort Dennison was originally built as a welcoming cannon for the Dutch as their boats entered the harbour, but the Dutch decided to Indian the welcome so the cannons have not yet been fired. Apparently, a Dutch company made the cannon and didn't want to honor the warranty for a misfire. So they are still waiting to test the cannon's accuracy to this day.
